My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ali! She is a 5yr old big oaf who we think is mostly Lab and part pointer, she's all Lab in personality and chunky butt :) She weighs 66lbs. She clearly had a home that probably didn't take good care of her and she was abandoned but has now been in foster for a few months and is healthy and ready for her forever home!

Ali is a great family dog, has lived with older kids and other dogs, she is best with male dogs but either would be an option. She is a well trained, house trained, and though likes to lay around, she thinks she’s Wonder Woman, when she first hits the yard, she does it at top speed and makes a real effort to fly up trees when there are squirrels. .Never one to be deprived of fun, she grabs stray sticks, twigs, etc. and makes her own fun, typical fun Lab behavior. In other words, she loves to play. She appreciates her down time as well. When crated, she is quiet and keeps her area clean, she is eager to please. She is also a pretty girl, a combination of brindle and white, with a distinctive white and spotted ear.

She does not do well with cats in our tests so far. As for people, she is sweet and affectionate but also slightly timid at first meeting someone new. She believes, “Trust but verify.” She’d do best with older children who could match her energy and enthusiasm. She’s not a loud or incessant barker, and unless her size is prohibitive, she could live in an apartment or condo although a house with a fenced yard would be more suitable. A tall privacy fence would be best as she might be able to jump over shorter fencing but she is on the low maintenance side as far as days she can't get out to exercise. She is housetrained and also crate trained if needed.

All in all she’s a lovely and loving girl who will make a fun, loving and easy keeper, come meet her anytime.

Ali is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives, heartworm negative and has a valid health certificate.
