My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hailey is a gorgeous 1 1/2 year old red beauty who weighs 8.5 pounds. Hailey is a delicate girl with the bone structure of a china doll with a cute little overbite that you will only notice if she is looking straight at you or is laying on her back for her favourite belly rub.

Hailey LOVES to cuddle with her foster mom and is a bit shy. She walks well on a leash and is working on learning to use ramps instead of jumping on and off of furniture. Hailey loves people and will greet everyone like they are her best friend if they offer her a bit of attention and affection. No cup of coffee is safe around Hailey as she goes after it the first chance she can, so watch your cup!

Hailey doesn’t seem to be interested in toys. Hailey is quite possessive of her foster mom but gets along with the other dogs in her foster home. . Hailey has not been tested with cats, but her foster mom believes she would be wonderful with cats as she is not reactive to small animals. Hailey has not been tested with young children but given her gentle nature would likely do well with respectful children over the age of 10 years of age.

Hailey is puppy pad trained and is working with her foster moms help to learn to go potty outside. She is just a puppy and this is a work in progress. Hailey’s new home will need to have patience and understanding and help her to become a wonderful well rounded dachshund.
