Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hank is a handsome, shiny red, 10 lb, 1 year old puppy looking for his forever home. A bit of a shy guy, he is looking for a home that has the time and patience to help him become a balanced, treasured dachshund.
Hank is working on his leash training and gets along well with the other dogs who live with him in his Alabama foster home. Hank has not been cat tested and would do well in a home with respectful children 8 years of age and older. A submissive boy, he will stay right beside his human for security. He often anxiously looks at his foster mom, as if asking ‘What now?’ . Hank is learning how to play with toys, but still prefers to follow his foster around the house and have naps in the recliner. When he is excited he will jump on your chest and roll over and want to be held like a baby. Hank thinks a tummy rub is the best thing ever!
Hank is a very quick study, and he has learned to use the doggy doors and ramps in his foster home to go potty outside. He is just a puppy and this is a work in progress. Hank’s new home will need to have patience and understanding and help him to become a wonderful, well rounded dachshund. He is a very clever boy and is very trainable.
This sweet little puppy is a treasure and looking for his forever home that will value him and love him all of his days. Apply to adopt Hank today!
