Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rufus the Brooklyn Dufus is a love bug, simple as that. His favorite things are eating food, giving kisses, and telling you stories (he loves to talk). He's super affectionate and charming, almost dog like in his behavior. He's also a great sofa buddy!
Rufus is a confident cat that would do well in most home environments with a gentle introduction, but we think he'd do best right now in a home with a calm vibe, and some humans ready to give him lots of attention and affection.
A little more about Rufus's story, since May 2018 he was living outdoors on a block in Bed Stuy with his cat friend "Sprinkles" , both being fed by kind neighbors. However in early February we were contacted because he was limping, so we went to get him some help. Nothing serious, just a small bite wound that was infected, it's been treated, and now he just needs a little more rest. We also got him neutered, vaccinated, microhipped and tested for FIV/FelV (negative). Sprinkles has found a home, and now it's Rufus's turn to get some good luck.
You get a chance to try Rufus out because we, the rescue group, want to get his medical care fully taken care of before "officially" adopting him out.
The small print with Rufus is that he is talkative, we can't guarantee that he won't whine at night or when you are out. We are pretty sure that this will reduce once he feels settled and is no longer experiencing pain, but we are pretty sure he will always be a chatty cat.
