Well, hello there! I am so happy you clicked on my profile to meet me.
My name is Harold and I am estimated to be a 5 year old shih-tzu mix. I am approximately 12 pounds.
So let me tell you about myself. I was found as a stray downriver and even though Animal Control found my family, they did not return calls or come get me. How sad! I have a funny little smile. My jaw is a bit off-center you see and it gives me an adorable underbite. The vet has looked at it and does not believe it affects my quality of life in the bit! I can eat kibble no problem. It is just my cute little Harold trademark smile. :)
My foster Mom says that I am SUCH a good boy! I am potty trained and walk very nicely on a leash. I am a quiet and easy going kind of housemate. I enjoy the finer things in life like curling up in front of the fireplace. I get along with kids, other dogs and cats. I have not met any other kinds of pets but I am so good that I would probably enjoy them too! I am a little bit shy at first but I warm up very quickly.

My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. All of the dogs in our rescue are have different personalities and needs within an adoptive home. - Fenced in yard is preferrable but not required as long as I will be leash-walked
If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:
1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. If you’d like to meet me, please apply online and to become an approved adopter!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
