Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3.
Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com

***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!***

WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS.
Please do not contact us to come look at a dog.
We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog.

We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Renton, WA.

Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to cover medical bills. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase QuickPay, PayPal, or cash.

Pudding 33 lbs, 2 years old, spayed, Akita-Samoyed mix possibly up to date on shots, microchipped, heart worm negative, dewormed.

Yet again another deplorable story for the loveliest girl Miss Pudding. She was originally rescued from a death camp of a shelter in China by her dad, but her dad ended up getting married & his new bride did not like dogs nor want Pudding & made him take her right back to the death shelter. Pudding truly loved her dad dearly & kept trying to run away after him to go back to her supposed home, but each time Pudding was returned back to the shelter.
Then if matters weren’t bad enough for Pudding the new wife was trying to get Pudding sent to the village to be used as a guard dog & unfortunately possibly eaten by people so time was of the essence in bringing her back to the US to truly save her life & here she is now & deserves the very best home ever.

Pudding was rescued by the amazing Chinese rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank you enough.

Pudding was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen, just to bring this sweet girl into the country from China was $550.
Straight away we could see Pudding had been through so very much & needed time to adjust & just wanted to be loved & warmed up quite quickly & just wanted us to love her & of course we & are.

Pudding is a lovely soft & very affectionate soul & her foster family said she takes a little bit to open up to you & can be a little bit skittish at times but does well walking on a leash. Once she has built that trust she loves to snuggle up with you & next to you.
Pudding definitely needs a big fenced backyard where she can run around & enjoy herself as she loves to run & play in the backyard with her foster friends. Pudding’s foster family said they would love to even adopt her as she is so sweet but of course they are apart of changing many dogs lives.
Pudding definitely needs another dog or dogs to play with & snuggle as she loves the companionship of other dogs.

Pudding has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently fostered with foster siblings so she must go to a forever home with other dogs present in the home who are playful & love to play & snuggle along with her humans must be very cuddly & affectionate also.

Pudding is is roughly 33 lbs, 2 years old, female & maybe a Akita Samoyed mix & still needs to put on weight which her wonderful foster family have been working on, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her shots, heart worm negative & dewormed.
We have also spent more money on Pudding with her medical & transport & her adoption fee does not come close to her costs we have spent on her & rescuing her.

Pudding has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children.

We do not know for sure what breed Pudding is mixed with & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is.

As with all of our rescues & Pudding’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Pudding potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond.

We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying.
Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Pudding & going through the process and have read his listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Pudding who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this special lady.
Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately.
Pudding has an adoption fee of $785 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well.?As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. ?Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding.?WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.?Adoption Process ?All of our dogs are in foster homes, so please fill out an application on our website to meet them in person: www.aberdeenstr.com. Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a 501(c)3 recognized charity. Our volunteers dedicate all their free hours to finding the best loving home for each of our dogs.
