My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*******************************************************************************************************************************
**Letter from my foster Mom:
On the way to the grocery store one day my children and I saw this little dog on the busy street, sure she must belong to some one, we did not stop. Two days later on the same busy street we saw her in the middle of the road begging each and every car that went by. No one else stopped.
My children and I pulled over to see if she had a collar, sure some one had lost their beloved friend. She had no tags. She was sick, hungry, and so
thirsty. She drank an old bottle of water we had in the car and jumped right in, sure she had found a friend. We took her to the vet only to find out she had not had a home in a very long time. She had had a litter of pups a few months before and was very sick and had probably not had a good meal in several days at the least.
Within a day I knew she was a very good girl. She loves children and other dogs. Even the vet said that throughout her treatment she was sweet and loving. Thankful for good food and love.
The better she feels the better she is. She loves to walk and play with my children and the children in the neighborhood (2,6,9,12 and 18). She also stays by my side while I garden or while I do anything else. She looks at me with curiosity and excitement. This is a true companion dog.
She has had to hunt for food so she is not good with cats. Who can blame her. I also think she has never been in a home, for her manners were not that great to
start, but she is a fast learner. She is already walking on leash, staying out of the trash and sitting and staying. She loves a good soft bed. She is a smart girl. I would keep her
but I already have 2 rescues of my own and can not afford to give her the best. She needs a forever home.

Hello! My name is Roxie! My foster family thinks I look like "Tramp" from Lady and the Tramp.
I was all alone on the side of a busy road for days. A very nice lady saw me their and thought I was so cute, I must be someone's pet. Until she came back the next day and their I was still sitting by the side of the busy road, waiting. The nice lady says she thinks someone must have left me there with puppies and I was still waiting for my family to come back to get me. I will always be waiting for them. But thank goodness the nice lady decided that I could wait with her sweet family. I was sick, starving, very thirsty and all alone. My new foster Mom was worried about where my pups were too, so she took me to the vet. They said my pups have been gone now for a few weeks, and that I was sick and needed help. My foster Mom has gotten me almost completely well now, with medicine for my Bacterial skin infection (which is why one of my ears is swollen and flopped down) and has given lots of great food, and love! She has 3 kids of 9, 12, and 18 and I am wonderful with them all. She says I am very, very smart and an learning how to be a house dog, as no one ever gave me the chance to learn before. I am great with other dogs, but my foster Mom thinks I had to hunt to survive and cats may be too much of a temptation. We don't know for sure, but best to be safe than sorry.
