My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It's time!! After 3 long months that included an in-depth orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation, Shiraz is ready for her forever home! It has taken a village to get this sweet 16 month old girl where she is today. As a result of the dedication of her financial sponsors, her surgical team, countless volunteers and most of all her devoted foster parents, Shiraz has made a full recovery. The best description of Shiraz is 'sweet', she loves everyone she comes across. She is good with dogs of all sizes and has a moderate energy level, given her young age. She has a distinct fondness for little dogs. We have never met a more compliant dog, even while enduring an incredibly painful broken femur, she welcomed everything with soft polite eyes and an open heart. Shiraz loves to snuggle and sleeps on a dog bed at the foot of her foster mom's bed. She loves bones and stuffies and has impeccable manners in the house. Due to the severity of her injury, obedience requests were not a priority during her time with us. She is such a good dog, there was not an immediate need but she is eager to expand her vocabulary and learn new things. She already knows the requests of sit and down and walks well on a leash with her Gentle Leader. She is a bit of a gazelle now that she is fully healed and and has proven to be able to clear a standard fence
