My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy is a beautiful, smart 2 year old Yellow Lab mix. He spent new most of his life in a 10'X10' kennel in a back yard so he is enjoying his time learning his commands and interacting with his trainer and fellow classmates. He is being trained in Canine Good Citizenship and is doing great in his training. He will graduate on 3/23/19 from Gaston Correctional's New Leash on Life Class. FurBabies is in partnership with The NC Department of Public Safety and Buddy is in the current class. It is a WIN/WIN/WIN... A WIN for the Inmates because they have the opportunity to work with the animals, which gives them a purpose and an opportunity for employment when they are released from prison, a WIN for the dog because it receives it’s Canine Good Citizenship training and of course a WIN for the new owner who gets and absolutely amazing highly trained rescue dog.
