Sally is a 4 year old sweet, gentle and very energetic female who came to our rescue from Texas. She is a real Heinz 57, but is definitely some poodle and Maltese, and maybe some other interesting ancestry. She is very alert and observant, and lets her foster family know if she hears or sees something that is unusual. She likes other dogs and wants to play with them, and would really enjoy having another playful small dog in her new home. She also loves to play fetch with a toy or ball and will bring it back to you, asking you to throw it over and over again. Sally is learning quickly about going potty outside – in the cold and snow! - and is becoming very reliable as long as she is kept on a regular schedule.
Sally will sleep in her own bed on the floor, but would really love to sleep in your bed with you if you would let her. She rides nicely and contentedly in the car. She would like a family who can spend lots of time with her and make her the focus of their love and attention. Older respectful children would be acceptable with her, and as mentioned, she would really enjoy having another playful buddy who wants to play with her too.
Sally is spayed, had a dental, is current on vaccinations, is microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Her adoption fee is $370.00 plus $27.84 sales tax for a total of $397.84. Her foster parents would like her adoptive home to be within 50 miles of Anoka, MN and would like them to attend the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held each year in September.
