Neptune came to live in our home last October, following his adoption by my adult son at 5 weeks of age. My son moved home and began working full time and is sadly aware of the fact that he needs more than we can provide. Our 14 year old golden doodle tolerates Neptune but he is only a year old and wants play more than she does. Neptune needs time, training and exercise. He loves being around people and is laying at my feet as I write this although the back door is open. He can be a very sweet dog and also has aggressive tendencies periodically around his food and his toys. Neptune wants what he wants, reminding me of a 2 year old or a teenager at times, whichever seems appropriate in that moment. My husband and are nearing or already 60 and have raised our family and work full time. We don't have the time to dedicate to this young pup. We feel certain that if he is in the right environment and his owner is willing to work with Neptune, he could be a great companion.
