My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Nala and I’m a four month old girl born in the deserts of Qatar. I will be traveling to Chicago on January 22, 2019 with my brother Simba to find my forever home. Here is my story:

I was born on a construction site and luckily some of the workers there looked after me and my family. One day, the boss did something horrible to our dad and one of my brothers, so the other workers contacted a group called Paws Rescue Qatar and explained they could no longer keep us safe. The Construction boss at the site felt the dogs were a nuisance and chopped their legs off and threw them in the desert to die. Sounds horrible beyond words but this is the fate many street dogs around the world face, especially in Muslim countries.

Thankfully, Paws Rescue Qatar came straight to my rescue! We all went to the vet to have a check up and after that we went on a car ride to their retreat where lots of other dogs and cats live. I mostly play with other puppies my age there.

I love it when volunteers come and play with us, and I enjoy getting cuddles from them. I’ve had all my vaccines (they hurt!) and my tablets and what not to fight off any worms/ticks or fleas! I haven’t been spayed yet as I’m still too young.
