Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looking for a Hero? We have one for you! Hero is a handsome 11 pound boy who is between 2 and 3 years of age, and looking for love!
Hero loves to snuggle and enjoys lap time. He has not been tested with children or kitties but gets along well with other dogs. Hero rides well in the car and doesn’t have motion sickness. He loves to sleep under the covers in the big bed and would like a home where he could continue to have big bed privileges. Hero has never had toys in his life and doesn’t know how to play, but with some love and time he will learn!
Like most dachshunds, Hero loves his food, so measured meals would be a good plan for his forever home. Hero has had no training prior to coming into rescue. With the help of his foster mom in Georgia, he is beginning to learn manners and basic commands. Like most dachshunds Hero has a mind of his own and will need consistency and love to help him become a well rounded happy dog. Hero came from a situation where he had never been exposed to grass or a yard so everything is new to him! He is a sweet boy who needs time and patience and most of all love.
Hero is working on his house training and is making good progress. Hero is basically a puppy when it comes to house training and needs his new home to be patient with him. Like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in their environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important. Hero is very afraid of a crate, as we think that is likely where he lived his life prior to being rescued.
This sweet little boy is looking for a home that will give him the love that he has never experienced before. Are you going to be the one who will open their heart to him ?
