Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Once upon a time there was an adorable little puppy name Batta. A family fell in love with this little long-eared puppy. She began to grow, and grow and grow some more. At one year of age, the family realized they knew nothing about the breed of dog they brought home. This cute little long-eared puppy grew long legs to match her ears and needed space to exercise. She possibly needed a job, Living in an apartment was not the life for this hound girl.
Her name is Batta, meaning "a girl of absolute and utter beauty". This beautiful girl needs a family that understands the hound breed. Batta is NOT a fat, lazy hound that enjoys sitting on the front porch. This girl needs exercise to burn her energy and stimulate her mind. Otherwise, she may find things to keep her busy that may not meet your approval. She takes guidance well. She just needs someone who will continue to lead her.
Although Batta can be shy and skittish upon a first meeting, she becomes your friend quickly and remembers the people she meets. She gets along well with other dogs but can be perceived as
"pushy" by other non-hound dogs. (Hounds seem to have their own set of social skills.) We do not know if she has ever been introduced to cats.
Batta is approx. one year old. She is spay, up to date on vaccines, and tested negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases. Batta is crate trained and house broken. Her adoption donation is $200.
Our adoption process includes an application, interview, home visit and scheduled meet/greet with the dog being adopted and all family members including four legged. We also give all adopters a two week trial to assure that we have placed the right dog with you and your family.
