A SECURE FENCED YARD IS REQUIRED
Meet Elliot, a five year old double merle Sheltie boy, who weighs 20 pounds. He loves to play with a tennis ball and then snuggle on a warm lap. Elliot is housetrained and walks on lead, although he has a tendency to pull. The 65 lb. Collie in his foster home is his favorite playmate and they love to play tag and wrestle. As a result of his breeding, he is totally deaf and has some vision issues at close range, although he does still see. His bloodwork shows no health issues. Elliot is a lap dog and insists on sleeping in bed with his foster mom (she doesn't really mind). He will do best in a home with someone who is home most of the time, as he bonds quickly with his person. Another playful dog in the household would benefit him, and help him learn the ropes in new surroundings. He does know some sign language. We were told he gets along with cats and older children. Elliot will need an experienced owner, a very secure fenced yard, and will only be placed locally in the Kansas City area.
