My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joie is a mini filly that came to Beauty’s Haven in June of 2018. She was part of a feral herd of minis that had previously been living on 300 acres. Joie’s precious little face reminded us of a baby kangaroo, so we named her “Joey” — with a little feminine twist to it (Joie)! She needed to be desensitized to touch and learn to trust humans. In just a few months’ time, Joie has come to love being scratched and petted. She’s had a couple of hooficures and does a really good job standing for the farrier. Joie came to us with a horrible thick matted coat but she now loves being brushed and groomed. This little mini filly is absolutely adorable and is ready for a new home that will continue desensitizing her, working with her, and loving her.
