Molly is a very sweet approximate Poodle/Shih Tzu mix, around three years of age. She is a fine little house dog but also loves her outings and exercise! She can be a little reserved with first meetings and is a little sensitive, but comes into her own quickly, affectionately and engagingly so! She is a very fun little girl! She would do very well with a canine companion and loves to play. She was turned into a high intake facility in Houston by a heartbroken owner who could not afford her care. In foster care since, she will arrive in RI looking for her forever home the weekend of 3/9. Molly came into the shelter with hair loss and very itchy. She has been treated for flea allergy dermatitis and was much relieved by a cortisol shot. This will require ongoing veterinary supervision to be sure she continues on the upswing, monthly flea preventative, and of course as a Poodle mix she will need to see the groomer every six weeks, so she is not an inexpensive dog in terms of maintenance. She is healthy and thriving and looking for a home to continue to do right by her. She will reward you with a lifetime of companion, love and adventure :) Molly will do very well with kids who are respectful. Her house manners are superb, but she will be happiest with an active family rather than being a housebound companion.
