Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Harley is a 1 year old gorgeous 10 pound red dachshund looking for love.
Harley must be adopted by a dachshund experienced home only. Harley came from a puppy mill situation where he had never experienced grass or toys. He is learning to love being outside and requires a home with a fenced yard where he can be safe and secure. Harley is an ESCAPE ARTIST and will dig under unsecured fencing.
Harley loves attention and wants to stay by his foster mom in Alabama at all times. He has anxiety in new situations and when he is separated from his person. Harley is very playful and would love a home that would give him time and attention.
Harley sleeps in his own bed close to his fosters big bed at night . During the day he sleeps in various dog beds throughout his for home. Harley gets along well with other dogs but has not been tested with kitties. Harley would do well with respectful children over the age of twelve years.
Harley is working on his house training. Harley is basically a puppy when it comes to house training and needs his new home to be patient with him. Like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in their environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important. Harley is very afraid of a crate, as we think that is likely where he lived his life prior to being rescued.
This sweet boy needs love, patience and security. Are you the one to offer this to him?
