Meet Miss Meeka!
Meeka is a very affectionate dog who loves to talk to her family and will hold frequent conversations with you. She’s not a barker and normally very quiet, but one of her most endearing qualities is her howling for food, walk time and when she’s just genuinely happy to see you.
Meeka will always greet you with wags and howls. She’s a very happy dog who loves all people and is still learning that not everyone she meets on the street wants to pet her. Her size can be intimidating to some, but she’s always friendly.
She’s a spry and active six years old, ready and willing to go anywhere you do. She would likely be a good running partner, but still learning how to walk loose leash. She knows some basic commands including the word “walk” which makes her very vocal.
At home, she prefers to lie on the floor near her people, but she also loves her crate and is fully house trained. She’s still learning to be polite in the home, but has never made any messes or damaged anything.
Meeka would work best in an active home with experienced pet owners. She is a very loving dog with people, but she does guard her food from other dogs, and she has a high prey drive and lots of energy. She has a dominant, alpha personality and while she would work best in a home without other pets, she is extremely intelligent and learns quickly. So, with proper direction and experience, she would get along well with other dog as long as they’re introduced very slowly and their roles are well established. Meeka needs plenty of exercise and should be fine with teenagers in the home, but is untested with young children and cats are not recommended.
