My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Newman. I am a very shy boy that has been through some hard times. I was abandoned by my previous owner and was left alone for weeks. I am still traumatized over this experience and so I need a lot of patience when I find a new home. I will need a lot of time to really settle in and feel like I am in a safe place with people I trust. Once I warm up I can be such a sweetheart. I am mellow and like to get petted and affection. I just don't always trust it though, so you have to go slow with me and let me come to you. Because of how nervous I am, I can't be in a home with children and dogs. I'm not sure how I'd do with other cats right now since I've been so stressed. If you think you have the love and patience to take me home and let me come out of my shell on my own, then you should come visit me at the shelter.
