Hi! My name is Howie and I'm looking for my best friend!

I'm a lovable lap kitty who LOVES snuggles and adores attention. In fact, my foster mom calls me a "snuggly meatball"! I tend to purr loudly and sound like I have a little motor. I am a very happy boy when I'm following you around the house and being your very best friend and companion.

My rescuer loved my handsome coat and named after famous redheads Ron Howard and Rutger Hauer - hence, Howie! My favorite activities include begging my foster mom for head scratches, receiving said head scratches and giving head butts in return, and lounging in my favorite chair. Sometimes I go really wild and pounce around the house chasing unknown objects. Catnip is my FAVORITE!

In my previous life, I lived in a home before being abandoned by owners who moved away and didn't want me anymore. I spent several years living on the streets of East Harlem just waiting for my luck to change. I was SO happy once someone rescued me and I immediately showed my thanks and appreciation with love and belly rolls as soon as I got back inside. I'm looking for my furever home so I can once again be the house cat I was meant to be!

I am approx. 6 years old. I am good with my foster Mom’s two dogs and often like to snuggle by them on the couch. I would do ok with other cats, though I am quite clingy to my human and would prefer to be your #1 ride or die.
