My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Powder is a 5 year old Male Bichon. He is very very sweet and affectionate. He is good with Kids and other dogs. He is house trained as long as you take him out every 4 hours or so but may lift his leg in a new home or situation so a little reinforcement training may be needed.

He is not neutered, and our rescue will pay for all pre-testing and the neuter surgery. However, the adopter will need to commit to bringing him back and forth for the vet appointment and surgery date to either our vet or another vet that agrees to give us a discount.

His current home is an apt in NYC and the owner works full time and is out of the home 12 hours a day. It is not fair to Powder to have no companionship the entire day and then only have a few hours out of the crate before he goes right back in for overnight. They also have never made arrangements to have someone walk him mid day for potty so they crate him all day and as you can imagine, he has had a few accidents in the crate. Poor baby, no one can be expected to hold it for 12 hours.

Powder is a wonderful, sweet and affectionate dog that just needs a home that can give him more attention and steady potty breaks. We prefer a home where someone is home most of the day or only works part time.
