Temperament: Cuddly, excited, fearful.
Activity level: Moderate.
Vetting: Vaccinated (core vaccines plus bordetella); 4dx bloodwork negative for heartworm & three tick borne diseases (Ehrlichia; Anaplasma and Lyme); Fecal (negative), dewormed; flea/tick/heartworm prevention given; microchipped, spayed. Will need a fractured tooth removed.
Housebroken: Yes, though she can pee a bit when nervous or excited.
Good with dogs: No.
Good with cats: Not tested, but has strong prey drive so most likely no.
Prey drive: Yes, strong prey drive with squirrels.
Good with children: No, she can be unpredictable due to her fears.
Separation anxiety: None, she is happy to relax in bed when she is left alone.

This sweet and cuddly pup is named for the popular and equally adorable Pokemon. Known for its ability to evolve, CCR’s very own Eevee is looking for the right home to allow her to grow and evolve into the dog she is meant to be.
Eevee has had a rough start to life and is very fearful. She needs an adopter that will have the patience and dedication to help this sweet girl gain confidence and feel more comfortable. A quiet home environment would help this beautiful pup flourish!
This adorable gal is very cuddly once she learns to trust you, and she just wants to love you. She would enjoy nothing more than to wake you up every morning with lots of puppy kisses! She is such a sweetheart!
Eevee enjoys spending time outdoors and loves to go for long walks. She has had no issues with Toronto traffic on busy streets. On walks, Eevee will react when she sees other dogs and will bark and yelp until they are out of sight. She is also still learning her leash manners and not to zig-zag across the sidewalk.
Eevee is looking for a home with no children where she will be the only pet. She can be scared around other dogs and will also get jealous and can exhibit resource guarding of her people towards other dogs. She is currently being fostered with another dog in the home but we believe Eevee would be her best self in a home all her own since her social skills aren’t quite up to par.
Eevee’s fearfulness can push her past her threshold and she has previously nipped at her foster when in this state. She has improved significantly though with time and lots of work from her foster on building her trust.
Eevee has learned a couple of basic commands, such as sit and down, but will need continued work on her basic obedience skills to improve her responsiveness.
This adorable beauty is such a loving pup and just needs the right person/people who are willing to commit to this pretty lady and show her that life doesn’t always have to be so scary. Her potential adopter should be prepared to work with her using positive reinforcement training techniques to help her continue to build her confidence and trust. With the right patience, love, time and dedication, Eevee will flourish in her forever home!
