Benson is a 2 1/2 year old black male with natural ears. Update 6/16/19 - Benson continues to adapt to his foster home and is doing extremely well. We can say that he is house trained. He continues to be very curious and will explore for things that he can eat on the countertops or in the trash. Keep your counters clean as he will help himself. He doesn't do well with barriers ie baby gates or crates. In trying to crate train we have found that he will do whatever it takes to get out. His foster family has started putting another dog in the room with him and playing dog anxiety music to help when they are gone from the home. Benson no longer barks or whines when you leave you house if in the company of the an older Dane or pit bull. Benson loves the stairs so caution should be used when he is behind you as he will try and urge past or push you to one side. He is good with small children as he is exposed to a six month old baby. Benson will approach the baby carrier and look inside showing curiosity, then when satisfied he will walk away. He does well on walks. He dos not react to other dogs also being walked and minds his own business. Benson is a good watch dog - he is attentive, and can be assertive. He will approach strangers that come to the fence. It is very easy to introduce him to people. Benson will relax once he knows that you are okay with that person.
