Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Crockett (dob: September 30, 2018) was rescued from an 'unwanted litter' situation at 5.5mo in Rutherford Co, NC.
His mother was a 14lb tan & white Feist(look it up!) and their daddy was a 65lb Boxer/LabradorRtvrX. Yep! You read that right! Past owner showed me pix of their mama(sadly, she was stolen just after she was spayed) but Howlin4Spirit did get to meet their daddy(nice, EZ-going & friendly fellow). They were loved and cared for in their original home but never allowed indoors. Well-socialized with people/older children(8+yo) and other dogs. He will most likely be around 30lbs an adult, since their mama was so small. Crockett looks most like his daddy but is between both parent's size structures.
Housebroken and crate-trained for nights, and walks on-leash OK. Gets along great with other dogs, but best to feed separately...he came from a small space and had to protect his share of the food...apparently, it wasn't a lot, just enough to get by on. Here, at Howlin4Spirit, he has learned to share and eats nicely when he is NOT BEHIND any fencing. Add fencing and he will growl but not act out.
FUN! Happy and healthy, he enjoys lots of play-time with his buddies, so a fenced-in yard or near-by dog park is required to be approved. NO APARTMENTS unless the adopter works from home and is an avid runner/jogger/hiker who is committed to sharing their exercise regime/adventures with his new best friend on a daily basis. I always say, 'an exhausted puppy has a very happy owner!' Crockett looks to his person for guidance and leadership so obedience training would be a definite PLUS! WANTS TO PLEASE! fyi: Crockett may steal any dirty laundry belonging to the person he considers his person, but he is NOT destructive.
This pup is in and will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC until his fur-ever home is approved. SATURDAY only delivery.
Transport fees are as follows: $125 to eastern VA/MD/DE/NJ-NJTnpk & JerichoNY(Long Island), and $140 to RyeNY, JohnstonRI, Nashua/ManchesterNH & BurlingtonVT every Saturday. &, $140 to Syracuse/Rochester& Albany on the 2nd & 4th FRIDAY of each month.
Adoption fee: $150(includes spay/neuter, micro-chip, Rabies & health certificates, parasite-free, current on 1st yr vax(Bordatella, Rabies, Parvo/Distemper/Lepto), current on heart worm and flea/tick prevention, Kong or Nylabone chew toy, 'SUPER PUPPY' training booklet, beef knee cap bone, Martingale collar and match 6' leash, 2 'pet alert' wallet cards, 'RESCUED DOGS ROCK' car magnet).

You will also need to give your vet's office permission to release your pet's medical history to us. We will be calling them within the next 2 business days, so be SURE to do this, please!
