My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Luna is a gem. She is extremely intelligent and would be an amazing agility dog . She also thinks she is a lap dog. For the right individual or family, she will be a “once in a lifetime dog”. She’s incredibly intelligent, sweet and active. Luna loves fetch and playing with other dogs, she spends a lot of time running around her foster's large fenced yard. She is a velcro dog and wants to be wherever you are. If you sit, she will jump onto your lap and sit too. While she is young and active, she is in no way a wild or unruly dog. However, you may need to keep an eye out for your shoes as Luna can be a shoe thief! She steals them and carries them around more than chews them, but it’s something to keep an eye on. She almost never barks and does excellent in her kennel while her foster parents are at work. Luna won't chew up her bed, but occasionally chews a hole in her blankie - a stuffed kong or bully stick when crated should resolve that. She does okay in the car, but needs more practice as she can be a little anxious - but no car sickness (phew!). We are certain with consistently fun outings and adventures she will realize a car ride leads to fun times and she will come to enjoy car rides as much as she does the activity.

Luna needs someone that wants their dog to truly be a part of their life and a real family member and companion. An active owner with time for her, a big back yard or someone that can take her for lots of hikes/walks/park visits would be her ideal home. Luna would do well with a single individual or a family with kids old enough to handle her youthful energy. If you want a fun, happy little dog and have the energy to match her, Luna is your girl!

Luna's is currently being fostered in Burien, WA.

As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs.  Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file. Please complete our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org/forms as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy, all volunteer staff. Luna's Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping.
