My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in TILLMAN or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here
Please email the completed application to sarahbeth@gmail.com
Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached.

TILLMAN is as delightful as he is stunning. Once you have met this beefcake, you have zero hope of not falling in love. Sweet and full of personality, he just lo-o-o-ves people and other dogs. The smile on his face and constant tail wagging says it all. If you are looking for a pooch who will stick to you like glue, this handsome boy is the one for you. TILLMAN loves to cuddle and relax at home, but is also used to getting out and about town. He regularly goes to to work with his foster dad and is the office favorite among the staff and their doggy companions.

TILLMAN loves to go on car rides and to new places. He would be thrilled to accompany his forever family on all sorts of new adventures. He adores all his toys and can entertain himself while playing with them. He really is the ideal mix of a movie-night homebody and adventure sidekick. Although he is the only dog in his foster home, he absolutely loves the company of other dogs and is always well received at the local dog park. He is housebroken and does wonderfully in his crate when his foster dad in not home. TILLMAN is a smart, loyal, adoring, and outstanding dog and is sure to make everyday a great day for his lucky forever family!

TILLMAN is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
His $490 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the New England area after he is officially adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our Nashville, Knoxville and some New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com). We also use Pet Express Tupelo (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com/). For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
