Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***Update: he is now adoptable, he had a dental cleaning and continues to do well on his special kidney food. We re-ran his bloodwork and it looks much better. He has a wonderful ability to explore and learn about his environment, even though he cannot see.***
11/8/18, UPDATE: Harley has shown he can really learn the layout of the house and trust his new environment. He's even doing the steps to upstairs and outside by himself. It has been a full week, but it's good to see he can learn and trust. He's acting like one of the normal sighted dogs in the house. We are still waiting on more follow up appts on his eyes, but we will update more next week.
Harley has been through some 'ruff' times lately, he had an owner who financially and physically couldn’t care for him. He was surrendered to the local shelter in bad shape due to these factors. We immediately stepped in, got him urgent veterinary care, grooming, and found him a foster home. Harley has limited eyesight, and needs a quiet and stable home, with no small children.
He is around 10 years old, weighs 16 pounds, is hw negative, and is now current on all vaccines and grooming. We are learning more about Harley bc he is so new to our foster care system. We know he leash walks and appears to be house trained. He loves to snuggle up in his soft doggie bed, he’s been thru a lot of change lately and it comforts him.
