My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smokey is a very lovable somewhat active 5 year old schnoodle. He weighs about 12-15 lbs, is neutered and up-to-date on shots. He sleeps in his crate at night but, like most dogs, would prefer to sleep with his human. He bonds easily with women, but is a bit wary of men. Specifically, Smokey does not like men in baseball caps, which would indicate that he's been mistreated in the past by someone who wore caps.

Smokey is very handsome and (drum roll!) well potty trained in his current home (however you will need to train him to your routine and your expectations, which shouldn't be too difficult).

Smokey does have some interesting quirks like attacking dropped Kleenex. He's recently become possessive over his toys and treats, but this is understandable since there have been recent changes in his household -- the addition of young children who may not know how to respect Smokey's "space."

Kids who are jumpy and move fast annoy Smokey, which is very common in older dogs because perhaps they don't see as well or don't want to be constantly on edge waiting for an accident like getting stepped on or hit with a toy.

A female adult home with no other pets would be ideal, and he would be ideal for the right senior adopter as well. Smokey just wants to be king in his home, and to be loved and pampered by you -- and Smokey will return your love ten-fold!
