Owen is a three year old little boy who to our rescue from Texas. He had apparently been in a kennel too much, and he is now really enjoying his freedom! He is an active, enthusiastic little boy who loves to walk, and to eat! Owen walks well on a leash, and would do best with a family who likes to go for long brisk walks, be outside and play with him, and is fun loving.
He is becoming more reliably house trained and will do well if his new parents will take him on daily scheduled walks where he can relieve himself. He does follow the lead of his Shih Tzu foster sister and brother, and would enjoy having another small companion dog in his new home. He is fine with his foster parents’ cat.
Owen is small - he only weighs about 8 1/2 pounds - but he has a big bark and a big
personality to match! He is learning about the good things in life, like sitting on a laps, where he will settle in and fall asleep. So even though he is a young, active little guy, he is also a cuddler, and we hope he will find a home with some active adults who will also want to snuggle with him. He has already won the hearts of his foster parents, and they will miss him terribly when he is adopted.
Owen is healthy, neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. His adoption fee is $370.00 plus $27.84 sales tax for a total of $397.84. His foster parents would like his adopters to live within a one hour driving distance of Minneapolis and would like them to attend the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in September each year.
