My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carter is a friendly guy. 4 years old and about 20 pounds.

He likes to have all the attention and is a great entertainer. He's easy to love.

He's sweet and just wants to hang out with his person or people. He's a super-duper snuggler, but also knows how to be independent.

Good with kids, dogs and though we haven't cat tested him, we're sure he'd be just fine, he's that awesome of a dog.

His Foster Mom Says:

"Observations on Carter: he's VERY loving and affectionate, a very people-focused dog. Very nice with our dogs (not aggressive), likes to play. Also has puppy tendencies - a bit nippy, jumps up to grab food.

He drops things in his mouth when we say "drop it firmly" and also let me open his mouth and grab an earplug out of it when he was chewing on it.

Definitely submissive.

We don't really know much about his past or how he ended up in a high kill shelter in Texas, but we're glad he's safe in Canada and now we just need to find him a home to call his own, so he can live the rest of his life, as the best of his life.
