Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ranger! He is about 7 years old and weighs about 23 pounds. He is a taller Jack Russell Terrier. All vet work has been done. When we got him out of the shelter he looked pretty rough, but now he is healthy and happy. This boy has a great spirit and is high energy, but just wants to hang out with people. He loves sitting on the arm of the chair pressed up against Jeff’s side...will do so for HOURS. We want him to be an inside dog. This sweet boy needs people. He totally respects the hot wire for the fence. Has not even looked at the horses, neighbors cows or even the guineas when they come up to the house. I am working on sit before going out in the mornings and sit before coming in. He is filling out slowly. He apparently was on his own for quite a while as he will get in the trash if unattended. He likes to ride on the golf cart and staying out with the boys all day. He is getting better about loading into the crate. No accidents at night or if he has to be crated (to eat his breakfast) as long as there are people around. He is a climber and a jumper. No matter what I have done to push buttons, he has not offered to nip or bite, plus he gets along with all of the dogs. He sure doesn’t like to get scolded because he wants to make you happy! He is gentle when taking his cookies at night or scraps from our hands. Ranger has been good in the house as long as there are people. We want him to be in a home with someone who will understand his terrier personality. Ranger needs plenty of exercise and will be a great walking or jogging partner. His new owner MUST have a very very secure fence - no chain link as it must be a non climb fence. Ranger requires a home with no kids and no cats. He will be fine female dogs only. A home visit and good vet reference are mandatory to adopt him. His adoption fee is $200. His adopter must be able to drive to the Collinsville/Denton, Texas area to get him.
