Dear future family,
I am Troy. I was rescued from the Waco Humane Society where I was on the list for euthanasia. Why? They say everything's bigger in Texas. Well, my love is BIG. My heart is BIG. My kindness is BIG. My confidence is sadly not. I'm pretty shy. I was found as a stray, and ended up in the shelter life. Since then, my world has continued to flip upside down. Day by day. This world is frightening. So many new faces and noises. So many noises. People don't go to the shelter to adopt the scared dog cowaring in the corner. I was overlooked. Overcrowding had me end up at the top of THE list so fast. The shelter didn't want that to happen. These good people didn't give up on me. So, I hitched my freedom ride to Wisconsin. Everything's new still. Everything's scary. But I like my foster home so far, and love my canine foster sister. She really brings out my confidence. I trust more when I'm around her, and she's showing me the ropes. My foster mom gives me steak and peanut butter sometimes. She's nice. My safe space is my kennel. I keep it clean, and I love to nap/sleep in there. I'm not much of a Barker. I heard that's a good thing. I really like kids, other dogs, and people. Cats are pretty scary sometimes. I'm super low key 98% of the time. I'm 2 years old, 46 pounds, lab mix, and I have a BIG heart. If you're willing to take a chance on me, give me love and patience, I'm willing to break down these walls I have built. I have lived a tough, worrisome, scary life. Im ready to stop worrying. I need my furever 🐾
