My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Burton and I’m a cream colored Schnoodle. I found myself in rescue when my family had to move across the country and couldn’t take me with them. I’m 7 years old and I weigh 22 pounds. I’m up to date on all those shot things, and just had my teeth all cleaned up.

My foster mom says I’m a very sweet boy who loves lots and lots of attention. I get along ok with the Schnauzers here, but I’d be happy all by myself and just sitting on your lap or hanging with you all day long.

I can be a little cranky with the younger Schnauzers who want to play all the time, so I think I’d do best in a family with no small children, just teenagers who know how to respect my space when I want it. I’m crate trained but don’t really like being crated, I’d much rather sleep on the bed with you. I’m a very good boy in the house and don’t get into much (except the garbage – I find it fascinating!).

I know lots and lots of tricks and will do them for you if you give me a cookie. I love toys and will play fetch for hours if you’re willing. I’m not all that fond of short car rides, but once we’re on the interstate I go right to sleep (so I can travel long distances but plan on hearing from me for short ones!).

I’m not all that excited to be left alone by myself, so if I could find a family where someone is home most of the day, that would be great! I’m being fostered in Michigan, but am up for a car ride anywhere! I can’t wait to meet you!
