My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $500
Fostered in Indian Trail, North Carolina
Age: 1 year
Weight: 9 lbs

4/15/19 – Rio has been with us for a couple of months now. His previous mommy had to surrender him because he is on seizure medication three times a day and she was having to start a job away from home, so she would not be able to give him his medicine. He was previously having seizures about once a month. His foster parents have not seen him have any seizures while in their home, which means he has not had a seizure since the end of October. Yay Rio!! He is a such a sweet and loving little boy. Everyone that meets his says how sweet and loving he is. He turned one year old on December 2, 2018. Being he is still a puppy, he does love to chew on toys, or shoes, or pee pads, or soft cloth items he should not chew on, but does stop if you tell him to. His foster home just makes sure the things he likes to chew on are picked up and that he has bones and toys to chew on instead. He also likes to be with other dogs and has started trying to play with his foster brothers and sisters. He has been known to bark when his people leave the house if he is all alone, but if a foster brother or sister is left out with him he does not bark at all. As mentioned at the beginning, he does requires seizure medication three times a day, but does not have any problems taking his meds. If you are looking for a young, loving, sweetheart of a pup, then Rio is the perfect pup for you.
