My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pepper! This little girl is the true essence of a lap dog. With minimal energy, she is quiet and much rather be with her favorite person than anywhere else. She enjoys the company of people when she gets to know you, but can be a bit shy to start. She would do best on a quiet home where she is cherished as the kind little couch potato she is.

Pepper can coexist with dogs easily, although she does not enjoy commotion or rough housing, so polite and calm dogs are best for her. She has lived with a cat and done well coexisting with the kitty also. If Pepper were to bond with a dog, we do believe she would start to open up and play, as she has shown short bursts of cute play towards dogs that give her the space she needs to feel safe.

Pepper is quiet in a crate and housetrained. She enjoys sitting down to watch the Ellen show during the daytime and cuddling up for her favorite Netflix series come eveningtime. She is truly a sweet little companion that keeps to herself and asks for attention every once in a while with a little nudge of the nose or paw. It’s been a joy getting to know this little soul.

Unfortunately, Pepper has been surrendered to two different open access shelters during th course of her life through no fault of her own. For this reason, we are determined to find a family for her that will commit to being her lifelong caretakers and will be careful about who she is adopted to. We are accepting applications to meet Pepper and will be making a final decision on who will adopt her within the next few weeks. Her adoption fee comes with FREE training support to ensure her new family has every opportunity to help her adjust to a new home setting as smoothly as possible.
