My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie #2 is a 9-year-old spayed female chocolate lab. Maggie #2 weighs 94 pounds and is up to date on shots.

Maggie is a definite couch potato, she loves being with her people whether it’s at home or on a ride in the car. She really enjoys going for rides, just say the word “go” and she’s ready for her daily ride and outing. She loves to put her nose out the car and take in the fresh air, smells and sights.

She currently lives with another older lab, they travel as a pair and look out for one another. Truth be known, Maggie gets along with all of the animals she has met, but I believe she would be fine as a single dog or with another dog.

Maggie has many friends, she especially loves females and children and adores being with them. She is a little shy of new men, she is fine as long as they let her come to her vice rush to meet her. Once she gets to know them she is fine.

Loud noises startle her but she can be redirected with her favorite foods, fruits and vegetables rock her world- her very favorite though is a cucumber. And if you forget her 6:30 p.m. dog biscuit treat, she will bark to give you a reminder of the time.

Maggie loves being with people and does best when she can be with them as much as possible. She has difficulties getting in and out of the car, going up and down more than a few stairs and going for walks longer than a few blocks. She would do best with a family that has a one story home limited stairs and able to give her the attention she deserves. She is a WONDERFUL WOOFER who has so much to share.

Kids 10 and up, has been around nieces and nephew age 2 up and is fine with them but has not lived with any. Good with other dogs lived with another Lab. No cats will chase them.. Knows sit, come and down Good on lead. House and crate trained, has run of the house.

UPDATE: Maggie is a sweet, quiet soul. She is easy to have around and has perfect house manners. She is completely house-trained and needs little exercise - some short walks and playtime make her happy! Maggie absolutely loves riding in the car and is her foster's errand buddy when it is cool enough to be out.

Foster mom's son was graduating from college so Maggie came to stay at the Weaver's spa for the weekend. She was one of the easiest and best behaved fosters we have had. She got along with our two with no problems she slept in the Family Room next to Remmie and we never heard a peep from them even though we had a torrential thunder storm. We had several guest over who she greeted very nicely then laid at their feet in case they wanted to pet her which they did. She is welcome to come back anytime. Some family is going to get a really good companion when they adopt her.

Maggie is extremely easy. Her needs are few, a short walk, some treats she loves vegetables and being near her people will make her happy. She absolutely loves car rides, just needs a little help getting in the backseat, been using a harness with a back handle to lift her in and out. She happily puts her nose out and sniffs the world going by. Her happiest day so far was when I took her to the farmers market and she was able to meander, sniff and be petted by everyone.
