Dylan's Story...
Dylan is 9 weeks old and about as adorable as can be. He purrs, he makes bisquits, he snuggles and talks, and LOVES his feather stick. A big change from the frightened little kitten he was just a week ago when found on campus. He is a beautiful marble tabby - quite a handsome young man! He has received his first distemper vaccination and been dewormed, but is still too little to be neutered and vaccinated for rabies. Campus Cats will give his new owner a certificate to cover his surgery and vaccination at the Athens Regional Spay Neuter Center when he is a little older. He is at a very good age for introducing him to older cats and cat-friendly dogs. Indoor-only home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dylan, a Wakinsville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wakinsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Wakinsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wakinsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wakinsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wakinsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
