My story

Casey is a shy girl who was found with a broken paw. The injury had already healed so her leg may appear a little crooked now, but that doesn't stop her from getting around - she scales cat towers as good as anyone else! Trust is something that Casey is learning, with the help of our patient volunteers. We are so proud of how far Casey has come, and would love to see her story have a happy ending in a home of her own, with a loving family who is willing to give her all the time and space she needs to feel safe and secure.

The McPherson County Humane Society was founded in 1979. We promote animal welfare and work hard to prevent animal abuse and/or neglect. We constantly stress the need and benefit of having all pets spayed or neutered! We are proud to have a stellar reputation of cleanliness and calmness at our cat shelter, which comfortably houses around 100 cats at any given time. Every one of our cats is tested, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered (age appropriate) before leaving our shelter.
