My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO SET UP A TIME TO MEET OUR PETS.

Just too cute! How else can you describe this adorable 7 pound 2 year old Yorkie mix?

Brutus (yep, he is the opposite of his name!) was surrendered with two other very sweet small dogs. They were all suffering from neglect, covered in fleas, missing fur, dirty, with very long toe nails. We think they were probably being kept outside.

Brutus was a good boy for his bath, shots and nail trimming. He is missing a LOT of fur right now and will be super cute when it all grows back in. He should be low to non shedding.

Tiny Brutus was pretending to be a scardy cat when he first came to us, all trembly and big eyed but, just as soon as he figures out his doggie friends like the new people he is being introduced to, his true personality comes out and he is totally A okay and becomes a bouncy, talkative, affectionate pup. He really needs another sweet dog or two for company so he can put on his brave boy hat and just have fun.

This sweet, sweet little dude is completely over being a neglected outside dog and insists on living the good life as your best bud! We can picture him joining your current friendly dog or two or three and running around with all his new best friends.

We were told that he was fine with cats.

He needs and enjoys a playful small doggie friend. Brutus likes to share a bed with other dogs and is used to sharing food so a good match would be another dog that does not mind sharing.

Of course, he will be more than happy to have lots of new people best friends, too, and he is ready to give kisses and affection. Already, he understands that people are great!

Brutus is not used to the finer things in life so does not yet, but will soon, understand the awesomeness of a warm lap, what in the world those things called toys are, and that rugs and other indoor things on the floor are not for pottying on.

Naturally, he is completely clueless about where he is supposed to potty and where is he not supposed to, just like a brand new puppy, since all that seems to be new to him. He is NOT naughty, just clueless. Give him a clue, let him watch and follow your other dog(s), use a belly band while he is in training, and he will do fine.

Do be warned that this funny little pup does like to vocalize when he is excited and he does sound a bit like a squeaky toy. It is kind of hilarious, like a toddler following you around chattering, but just be warned that if you are looking for a quiet, calm dog, this is not the cutie for you!

We are asking that his new home please have at least one other friendly dog that is good about sharing and enjoys an energetic companion. We are also asking that his new family have experience with neglected, outdoor dogs so that you will have the patience needed to introduce him to the big world outside of his limited experience and the patience to potty train and leash train him.
