My story

Hi, I’m Liberty! I was just a few months old when I came to the Goathouse as a tiny kitten, along with my mom Kenia and my four brothers and sisters. I’ve been waiting patiently ever since, hoping to find a great furever home. Some folks think black cats are unlucky, but I say those superstitions are silly & if you give me a chance it just might be the luckiest choice for us both! I like being around people, but I’ also perfectly content just doing my own thing sometimes, too. Come visit me and see for yourself what a sweet, easy-going girl I am!

More about this rescue

Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
