My story

This gorgeous young German Shepherd is Mindy, who will be 2 years old in July. Her people loved her, but realized that their busy schedules did not leave much time for an active working breed like Mindy.

Mindy has had some basic training, but her ideal adopter will have breed experience, and time to devote to further training using positive reinforcement. She’s very active and playful, and affectionate with people. Mindy weighs in at about 70 pounds, and seems to prefer the company of dogs her size rather than smaller ones. An active adult home would be best for her, and she should be either the only dog or with a well-trained dog of a similar size.

Breed knowledge and experience, plus time dedicated to Mindy, will go a long way towards ensuring a successful adoption. Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if you think you can give Mindy the right kind of home.

All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed and tested for heartworm (if deemed necessary), microchipped, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $400 and an adoption contract.
