NOTICE: Like most all reputable rescue groups, we do NOT adopt our Poodles to families who live outside a 1 days drive from our location here in central Minnesota....
AND YES!! WE HAVE ACCEPTED 2 MORE MALE STANDARD POODLE PUPPIES WHO ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
These two male Standard Poodle puppies are now the last to come as a donation from a breeder who we had previously received "Patrick" and "O'Connor" from.
“FINLEY” is an AKC cream Standard Poodle puppy who was born December 1, 2018. He is 34 pounds and also stands about 20 inches from the floor to his shoulder.
This soft, gentle, cream puff boy is also an active puppy who loves to run and play and play and run. He can be a bit shy at first, but then greatly loves attention and food (treats!). He is extremely alert and very attentive to all situations. Example, if I happen to get up in the middle of the night, he is the first and only Poodle who will lift his head up and look at me. He is quiet, but I can clearly see him saying, "What are you doing?"
Both of these boys will be a nice Standard Poodle size; not the big “royal” and not the small “Moyen”. They are very intelligent and in less than one week with us, they have quickly learned to keep their kennels clean, doing perfectly with our “puppy routine” (house training), going up and down the steps, are learning to walk on a leash, learning to come when called and enjoying life as an active member in a HOME with a FAMILY!
The video posted is the FIRST TIME they were allowed into the living room where all the toys are located. You can see that they quickly learned how much fun it can be to play with our toys.
Pirate and Finley are just perfect together, but will be adopted separately. They really need socialization while being exposed to people, places and things.
I will not hide the fact that they are still a bit reserved in new situations, can also be a little hard to catch and most certainly need work. But these are POODLES (one of the smartest dogs) and have respond to positive attention along with a loving and easy going attitude.
PLEASE NOTE:
*A FENCED YARD WILL BE REQUIRED as these boys loves to run!
*NO cats, NO little dogs, NO aggressive or assertive dogs and NO young children!
*They enjoy being with other quiet, easy going and older dogs, but will be also a great “only” dog for a family to spoil.
*Preference will be given to active families with past Standard Poodle experience who can train and work with these smart puppy boys.
Yes. This is a very rare opportunity for the right family as we all know good Standard Poodle puppies are hard to find. With the introduction of “Doodles”, sadly the Standard Poodle breed is slowly being eliminated and becoming extinct. Why Doodle when you can Poodle?
These puppies are AKC registered and we do have those papers, but they will not be given to you unless you have an acceptable reason for their possession. We are not familiar with their pedigree. While both parents had their hips x-rayed and approved, there is NO INFORMATION ABOUT ANY OTHER TESTING DONE.
Each boy has an adoption fee of $800.00 (including our $55.00 Minnesota state sales tax). All of their shots are up to date, they have been wormed, placed on a heartworm preventative, Home Again micro-chipped and registered. Both Poodles have been been Vet checked “healthy, strong and sturdy” and have been neutered.
Their adoption fee also includes a new leash, collar, a large bag of quality puppy food, treats, toys, a folding toy box, one month supply of NuVet Plus Canine vitamins, a new blanket, a big, soft doggie bed, along with lots of good information to help your adoption move forward on the right paw!
