Life for Harper has not always been easy. But she is here today because she was found as a stray wandering the roads with a Chihuahua. They both were rescued and her buddy was quickly adopted. For a while it made Harper very sad.
But now she is in a foster home, and has bounced back to her confident self. She loves the other dogs that she lives with and thinks the kids are great, too. Her personality has blossomed and Harper is not only a playful young adult but “a really sweet girl” according to her foster mom.
Harper is part greyhound and bulldog. Her beautiful short coat is a mix of brindle and white. When you look at her facial features you see the distinctive markings which form an impressive pattern on her face. Currently she weighs about 45 pounds and is expected to be a medium sized dog as she begins adulthood. She is thought to be a year old.
Her foster mom has been working with her on house and crate training. She has been practicing leash walking and has mastered it! As she moves into adulthood Harper will need to continue working on these skills as well as her social skills by being given the right guidance. It will require someone who is willing to make this commitment, is patient, has the energy, and the time. The result will be a wonderful companion who will give unconditional love and loyalty. The fee for adoption is $450. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and transport fees.
