From misery to joy, Poncho’s short life has been transformed. This poor pup was found as a stray by an animal control officer in South Carolina. He took him to a rescue organization and they saved his life, literally. He was only a few months old and already had lost all his fur and had several skin infections. But today when you look at his pictures, you see an absolutely adorable puppy of 6 months.
He is a lab mix, weighing in right now at about 30 pounds. When full grown Poncho will probably be medium sized. His soft short coat is mostly black/brown with a mix of white on his chest and paws. He has those wonderful amber eyes of a lab with a cute black nose. His ears add another cute dimension to his face. In other words, he is one adorable lucky pup.
He has been living with his foster mom so she has seen such a change. She considers him to be “one cool guy!” He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home as well as the kids. He is a typical puppy full of spurts of energy, then a nap. And then it is back to play time. Poncho is confident (isn’t that amazing?) and loves to be around people.
His foster mom has been working on crate and leash training. He will need to continue practicing these skills as well as his social skills as he begins to transform from an adorable pup to an amazing dog. Poncho will need someone who will provide the right guidance. It will require time, energy, and patience but the result will be worthwhile. Without a doubt, Poncho, will transform into a marvelous dog filled with love and devotion to his forever family.
He is not only a survivor, but one cool pup. Are you interested? Read on!
