My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Ivy. I am about a year old, in that stage between puppy and adult. So, as you might expect, I have lots of energy when I play with my dog friends. I also love to have fun with the kids I live with and the other dogs. You can picture me going after chew toys or running around the back yard in mad dashes. I just love to play! That’s the pup side of me. Of course, since I am part yellow lab you know that would be expected.

I currently weigh about 33 pounds, falling in the range of a medium size dog.  My short coat is mostly tan but I have a white chest. I have the long lab ears and beautiful alert brown eyes as well as a very black nose.  Did you notice that the tip of my tail is white?

Eventually, as I age, I will become a dog who has an expected amount of energy. Of course, that doesn’t mean that I won’t want to go for walks or hikes, or pass up visits to a dog park. Nope, I will still want to socialize and burn off extra energy. Got a fenced in yard? That would definitely be a bonus. Chew toys and bones would be greatly appreciated. Lots of attention would be good, too.

I haven’t lost my confidence even though I was dumped at a shelter. I see people and dogs as my friends. I want to be with them whenever I can. A forever home is my wish. That’s why I am working on house, crate, and leash training. I will need you to continue working with me using the right guidance, patience, and time to train and socialize me. Believe me, I am worth it.

The fee for adoption is $450. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and transport fees.
