If there was ever a portrait of the perfect looking pup- it would be George! A gorgeous white with black spot pup with the sweetest, most soulful eyes. Intelligent, confident, and clever, George is approximately a 3-year old Border Collie/Lab mix weighing 53 pounds.
George once had a wonderful life until his owner unexpectedly died, leaving George and his brother without a home. When they were surrendered to a shelter, another rescue took his brother, but left George behind. Just when George couldn't get any sadder- he luckily became a Dog Star and he knew he would be ok.
George's current caregiver says that he loves and craves human attention. Given all that has happened when his life was turned upside down- you can't really blame him. A perfect home for George would be one where he could become your pal, confidant, and companion. He just loves to feel he is a part of a family!
George also likes to play, especially with canine friends- just like he did in his previous life with his brother. However, he has not yet had the pleasure of meeting cats.
George is smart. A real clever dog who would love to be taught basic commands and tricks to keep him busty and you entertained. He currently walks well soon a leash and is a quick learner. With the proper training there is no end to what George can do.
George has been a gentleman in his crate and always keeps his kennel clean. He likely was house trained in his previous home, but as with all new canine members, will need to be trained again in your home.
All in all, George is going to make some lucky person or family a phenomenal pet. If this sound like the dog for you, please read on.
George's adoption fee is $450 and includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and transport fees.
