My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mabielle is a 5-year-old spayed female black lab. Mabielle weighs 63 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 8 and up.

Maybe it's Mabelie! Mabelie is a gorgeous cover girl! She loves nothing more than to be around humans of any size! She doesn't seem to mind cats at all. She gives you sweet nudges for more loving! She's not a fast mover at all, so turtle pace suits her just fine. Mabelie was a kennel favorite by all there, even the surgeon who did her spay. She is fine with other dogs but does not like them in her face or her "space" very much and can be a little "grumpy" with that. She would probably like to be the only dog in the house as she loves all the attention but she is fine with other dogs on walks, etc.

She is currently in a foster with several dogs and two cats. She pretty much ignores the dogs but will "fuss" at them if they try to get too close. This may change with more exposure but for right now she is more interested in human interaction than dogs. She's a true diva and even crosses her paws! She's not a very big fan of the vacuum and will take herself to her crate. This sweet girl has never had an accident in the house. She would love it if her humans were home with her more than not. Her antics usually involve rolling in the grass and getting belly rubs.

She does great walking on a leash and waits for you if you let her walk up ahead of you. She does not need to be crated and does not chew up anything. She will go lay in there if she chooses to (as the door stays open.) She probably used to chew on a lot of things out of boredom as her "flea teeth" are worn down a lot. Her favorite thing to do is sit by your feet with her head on your lap which she could do that all day and lays down to eat most of the time. She truly is a beautiful girl!

UPDATE: Mabelie is a sweet, calm girl. She is at a foster home with several dogs. She would probably like to be the only dog but she does OK if with dogs that just let her be and do her own thing. She is also OK with cats. Mabelie is super calm, low maintenance. She is a couch potato that does not require ( or really want) a lot of exercise. She is happy to amble around the yard or go for a short walk and then go back inside and hang out with her human. Someone please call and make sure FM's phone is not broken!
