Elsa has been an amazing dog since we adopted her about 12 months ago. She is an alpha and sometimes a little more of a bully to our other dog making him a little timid and scared. She has made enormous strides in overall health and behavior.
She is very slow at trusting people. She will slowly allow you to get closer to her and touch her in spots she usually doesn't want touched like her elbows and shoulders. She does have arthritis in her elbows and take carprofen daily for this. The med seems to help her pain quite well. She loves to be outside and go on walks. She can play fetch but still needs a little work on bringing the ball all the way back.
She uses growling for communication. Sometimes it is a warning that she does not like something, other times it is her way of showing she likes being pet a certain way. She will require a lot a patience and understanding. She will need an owner that is caring and thoughtful of her needs.
