This pretty boy is Alvin!! His previous owner, due to failing health, had to give him up. He's very frightened and confused by everything that's been happening! He is more afraid of men, so a quiet home with a single woman would be best! He loves other cats so some other kitty friends would be great!!
Currently he is in a foster home so an appointment would be needed to meet him.
If you are interested in adopting Alvin please come into the shelter then fill out an interest form here at the shelter. Our adoption fee for all of our cats and kittens is $75 or two for $100 unless we are having a monthly special. This includes that they are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and Leukemia, if old enough they will get their rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccine, microchipped, dewormed and will get a flea treatment.
Please be advised, WE DO NOT DO SAME DAY ADOPTIONS.
We are located at 5250 Hill Avenue Toledo, Ohio 43615. We are open Wednesday – Saturday 12 – 5.

More about this rescue
Maumee Valley Save-A-Pet was founded on the belief that every companion animal deserves a loving, responsible and permanent home. In short, no animal homeless, and no animal unloved, abused or neglected.
Maumee Valley Save-A-Pet was founded 1977 by a small group of Toledo residents in response to the vast overpopulation of stray and abandoned animals in our community.
Save-A-Pet received its charter as a non-profit organization in 1978 and the current system of foster home care was created shortly afterward. Today, Save-A-Pet is more than 450 members strong with an open to the public animal shelter and some 20 foster homes. Since our inception, Maumee Valley Save-A-Pet has placed thousands of kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs in loving, permanent homes
